Field Reports

A field report is filed on return-to-record. It documents the assignment, the equipment issued, the knowledge withheld from the employee, and any variance between what the employee recalls and what the Official Record contains. Supervisor disposition closes the report.

How to read a field report

The body of a field report is written by the employee. The disposition is written by a supervisor. Where the two disagree, the disposition is controlling and the body is retained.

Memory variance recorded on return is an ordinary administrative entry. It is not a medical finding, and the Bureau makes none.
